Activity 1: Creating a Wiki on Genetic Code and Protein Synthesis

In this activity, you will create a wiki on Genetic Code and Protein Synthesis and invite participants to collaborate on content creation.1. Browse the Internet using Google Chrome2. Type the URL address: www.wikispaces.com3. You will get the following “sign-in” or “Join” page4. If you already have a Wikispaces account, sign-in using your Wikispaces username and password. Otherwise, use the “join” section. Sign in if you have an account Or Join and create an accountA screen will appear with three options: Dashboard, New Page, and Settings.Check your email and confirm by clicking on the link.Under Settings: Check out and adapt the settings, especially the time zone.

and click “Create” 

1. Specify a name for your wiki (no spaces are allowed). Include the topic and your name. Example: “Protein-Synthesis-YourName”. Use “-” (dash) where needed in place of spaces.
2. Note that the wiki address will always end with “.wikispaces.com”.
3. Fill in the information for your new wiki
